Britain, Australia, other countries that started with "reasonable" wound up at near total disarmament.
We've passed hundreds of gun control laws in the last hundred years, one more should end crime right? "Oops another shooting, one more, and that's the last infringement, we promise." I'm not playing that game.
Criminals don't follow laws.
Nearly all mass shooting events occur in areas where weapons are prohibited.
There are some "true believers" on the gun control side, people directly affected by criminals. For most though, it's a culture war against self reliance. Idealists vs pragmatists.
