Never really read any Voltaire. This passage is shit. He doesn't know why someone would love their fatherland? He describes an idiot who doesn't live in his country to prove his point. This is garbage, how is he famous?

He was probably the greatest satirist that ever lived. Known for his wit. This short book exemplifies that and is probably the thing of his of any length to read.
