By all accounts, North America only imported 388,000 Africans for slavery.

By the Civil War their number increased to around 1 million through breeding.

If an 1860's passenger ship could carry 800 people it would take approximately 1,250 trips with each ship taking approximately 5 days to arrive. 10 ships, 120 trips, 240 weeks or roughly 5 years. NO PROBLEM.

No. That time is estimated by 1860 standards. It took passenger steamships 5 days to traverse the Atlantic and an average sized ship could hold 800 passengers in steerage.
