I think if bigotry leads one to say they want to kill others of certain races, harm them, or ethnically cleanse them from a certain region of your country then there is a problem with that to say the least.
I think it can have negative influences on others and impact society, but when does one define something as bigotry. What if someone is reacting to the truth, as it relates to someone's actions or what if its simply a matter of disagreement?
You have a situation here that is very hard because other people cannot see what they are like completely and to evaluate every quality and trait.
If its a matter of disagreement some people will consider looking up your ancestry and genetics to see if you are white as being racist or let alone talking about race as if it exists as being racist and untrue.
These people have no criterion and just want to throw certain people in a corner. It would be like considering left-wingers as mentally ill for professing their belief and ideology system and certainly some of what they profess harms society.
I don't think its the belief or ideology that is warped and something that is disease like, but where it ends up going or where one ends up intentionally directing it.
