That certainly doesn't meet the criteria mentioned, especially given its religious roots. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_religion_in_the_United_States

And as it's increasingly become secular it has also increasingly become unstable and rife with corruption so that's really a bad example to use.
