True, but wasn't Greece philosophy (via Thomas Aquino a.o.) an enormous influence over us, and us primarily? Not to say: exclusively? I mean, I presume the Russians know their Plato and Aristotle, but I am not aware Greek philosopy was a huge influence for e.g. the Nestorians... On the other hand, much of Greek philosophy was allegedly preserved by the nascent Islamo-Arabic civilization, only to be rediscovered (by 'us') during the Renaissance...
