Yeah, but who puts it in such terms? There is a huge amount of middle area between marrying a close family member and marrying a tribesman from New Guinea. Neither are especially prudent options.

A New Guinea tribesman would be a foreigner to most people. At worst it seemed no more of an extreme example than citing sister marriage as a rationale for anti-identitarianism.
