Nah, good try, but Christians obey the law of the land. "Render unto Caesar"... A few wackaodoos try breaking the law under that reasoning, but they're dead or in jail now. Islam must fall.

The full phrase is "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's". That sure doesn't mention rendering unto Caesar the things that are God's. So there is a basis for separation of church and state there, but no basis for man's law not getting trumped by God's.

The statement was made to a man who wanted to know whether Christians must obey the law of the land, and Jesus answered the above, so the Book says, in order to relieve Christians of the discord. It seems to mean, to me, that a Christian must not be of the world INWARDLY, but must render themselves to the law, basically, outwardly. So the separation is made within each Christian.
