It makes quite a difference, in my perspective at least, if we're dealing with European(-descended), or non-European immigrants.

Most immigrants in Germany - at least before the flood of last year - come from Turkey.

European immigrants are of course much better than non-European but my opinion is that also the European ones should be kept to a minimum. I think it's the best way to preserve the national culture of a country.

Agreed, but under the dire circumstances I wouldn't see an e.g. Finnish or Swedish neighbour (or even an inlaw!) as a problem.
