Excellent point. If this is a home grown Asatru group forming, I could see that, but I think the vast majority of ethnocultural admirers have christian backgrounds, and not pagan ones.

Yes I realize that. I personally — and otherwise of sympathizing in this thread I must stress that I am not involved with the initiator of this thread — find that a pity, for reasons mentioned in other posts in this thread. I must haste to say though that I have met fine, exemplary people online though, who subscribe to some form of Christianity.

I know great Christians as well. I worked for a Christian hospital and by and large, from the administration on down, they lived their faith as much as they could in a practical way, they never pushed it judgementally on anyone else, but honestly tried to provide a spiritually healing environment in addition to providing quality of care as if inspired. It wasn't just a marketing slogan. These people were legit and I respect that. The one thing I didn't like is that they were young earth creationists, but they did embrace modern medicine and science in all other aspects. I don't think that they performed abortions, but as long as there are other accessible places to have it, I have no reason to want them to do anything against their faith. I cross the line when they try to force secular organizations to "not do" something because of a religion.
