Many have also pointed out another apparently unintended association with Nazi Germany: The boots share a name with a World War II military operation -- Polarfuchs, or Polar Fox -- in which German and Finnish soldiers captured the Salla area of central Finland from the Soviets.

I wonder if anyone at the ADL drives a Volkswagen or takes (or have ever taken) Cipro, Aspirin, Claritin, Xarelto, or Yasmin/Yaz...after all, all of the above have direct associations to companies that did direct dealings with the Reich. (The pharmaceuticals are products of Bayer, an offshoot company of IG Farben when they broke up after being found guilty of assisting the Reich at the Nuremburg Trials) If we're drawing guilt-by-association by names alone, why only do it half-assed?
