This was the one with them trying to justify federation force right? Ah, honestly since Iwata's death Nintendo has taken a terrible direction with the money grabbing gimmicks. ( as in DLC, amiibo, and games that fans don't want to see)
I hate where Nintendo is going. They really have lost their way. I liked that the Nintendo consoles and first party games offered an alternative to the practices and shenanigans going on with the other consoles. The Wii and the first phase of the Wii U's life really made me enjoy gaming again because I could just have fun and not strive for meaningless achievements. The DLC, Amiibo and forced social interaction in games for the U and 3DS are really destroying everything Iwata built. I know a lot of this is to appease the money hungry investors, but I also think some blame goes to the pandering to the critics that Nintendo was not good enough to compete with Xbone and PS4. They shouldn't have to compete if they are offering something the other consoles don't, namely creative games that are fun for all types of gamers. I'm really getting turned off to gaming in general now that everything has just become about maximizing profit (DLC, season passes, services, pay-to-win, etc). Nintendo was the last bastion of gaming excitement. That seems to have died with Iwata and I see no hope of getting it back.
