10-year-old boy robbed at gunpoint for only $3
A trio of thugs robbed a 10-year-old boy at gunpoint in Carroll Gardens, swiping a measly $3 in the late afternoon theft, cops said Wednesday.
The youngster was on the northeast corner of Henry Street and 4th Place just across the street from PS 149, also known as The Brooklyn New School, about 4:30 p.m. on Dec 8 when three suspects described by cops as black males surrounded him.
One of the punks pulled a gun and the terrified boy handed over the $3 — all the cash he had, sources said.
The robbery was not reported until Dec. 11, when the unidentified boy and his father went to 76th Precinct to give a statement.
It was the second robbery of a youngster in Brooklyn this month, though it was unclear if the sick crimes were related.
On Dec. 2, a pair of crooks confronted an 11-year-old boy in Park Slope, and one of them choked the child before the pair made off with his iPhone.
The boy — who was also forced to give up his password — was mugged in the lobby of his family’s building at 6:20 p.m.
