I meet plenty of college "students", coon and human alike, who believe that they going to become a "scientist" in whatever field they're "studying". Then they get their duh-gree and go into the real world, just to find out that there's no jobs and they would have been better off going into construction, and their duh-gree didnt actually teach them anything in the first place.

That's especially true with computer science. Once you get that degree, pretty much everything you learned in school is outdated.
