Halloween represents multiple things the Cultural Marxists hate. They hate seeing seeing kids overcoming their fears and having outdoor adventures. They don't want awareness of European folklore and culture. They're afraid running around in a mask will give you a taste for privacy and anonymity.
Look at how it's been attacked over the past couple decades. It's already been respun as an excuse for adults to get drunk, just look at all the slutty costumes for sale in stores. All the rules for adults celebrating Halloween have been chucked out the window while all sorts of draconian rules have been set up for kids celebrating the holiday. It's common for treat or treating to be moved to the nearest weekend and/or end at dusk. Many school districts have minimized acknowledging Halloween. My elementary school had Halloween decorations and a dance but when my younger siblings passed through the same school Halloween was banished in favor of a generic "Harvest festival".
