Dear choir,
Just because the government doesn't impede free speech doesn't mean free speech isn't impeded. In a time where the only viable fora are online, free speech should be enforced on those fora.

Imagine if the phone companies cut you off if you said something supporting gay's via the phone... "It's their network, it's private, if they don't want you on it they're free to boot you off" is not a response I find to be likely.
