Good job. A few critiques.

The IQ score for Equatorial Guinea is that of retarded Spanish school children.

Lynn's data for Italians is garbage.

There are a few more I'll edit this when I think of them,

Also more data:

We correlated mean IQ of 129 countries with per capita income, skin color, and winter and summer temperatures, conceptualizing skin color as a multigenerational reflection of climate. The highest correlations were 0.92 (rho =0.91) for skin color, 0.76 (rho =0.76) for mean high winter temperature, 0.66 (rho =0.68) for mean low winter temperature, and 0.63 (rho = 0.74) for real gross domestic product per capita. The correlations with population of country controlled for are almost identical. Our findings provide strong support for the observation of Lynn and of Rushton that persons in colder climates tend to have higher IQs. These findings could also be viewed as congruent with, although not providing unequivocal evidence for, the contention that higher intelligence evolves in colder climates. The finding of higher IQ in Eurasians than Africans could also be viewed as congruent with the position of Diamond (1997) that knowledge and resources are transmitted more readily on the Eurasian west–east axis.

Interesting. That may be a whole new data set I might have to add to the picture for version 2, both in skin tone and IQ.

Have you ever seen anything as information dense and clear in one picture before?

Also, any idea on how Sierra Leone could be rated so high?

The IQ score for Equatorial Guinea is that of retarded Spanish school children.

Yes and they're rated as such at 59 in the picture :)

Also quick Q while I have your attention as I know you're a treasure trove of info: Jack Straw apparently said "The English as a race are not worth saving". The newspaper cutting can be seen here. Do you have any idea of what newspaper that was, or who I could ask who might possibly know? I'm desperate to find the original source of that quote and that's the closest I've come.

I like it. It's a great reference for quick use. Saved for future reference.

lol, looking up some stuff now and came across this stormfront thread that asked the same thing. One guy said 'doesn't look to be a reliable source' when it's Richard Lynn's data.

Ferron (1965). This study reports IQs for seven samples of children in Nigeria and Sierra Leone that included three grammar school samples (IQs 91, 95, and 81), two samples taking the entrance exam to grammar schools (IQs given as 80+ and 70+), and two samples from two primary schools. WDM average the seven samples to give an IQ of “around 77”. Comment: The first five samples should be excluded because grammar school students are selected for higher IQs and the imprecise IQs given for those taking the entrance exams to grammar schools are unusable. Ferron's two samples from primary schools are acceptable. The IQs of these were 74 and 66, averaged to 70

...

Ohuche and Ohuche (1973). WDM calculate an IQ of 91.3 for this sample of children at an experimental school in Sierra Leone. Comment: The sample is unrepresentative; the ages of the children are unknown; all children repeating the year (i.e. those with low IQs) were excluded; the IQ of 5–6 year olds= 69.5; the IQ of 7–12 year olds= 94.2, a discrepancy indicating serious problems with the data; there was no correlation between IQs and tests of English, math and social science in grades 4–7, showing IQs have no validity for these ages. The study is so unsatisfactory it has to be rejected.

No, like it's literally the IQ for retarded Spanish school children.

Check Hunt and Wittman 2005's review of Lynn and Vanhanen's book. You can defend the inclusions or lack thereof of certain datasets, but you can't dispute this.

From what I can see people just say he said it without providing a source and when people ask for sources on it on message boards no source is provided. Seems false to me.

Also, do you have any thoughts about Singapore being rated so high?

It's 76 percent Chinese. They have extremely strict immigration laws.

Look up super selection.

This is why black immigrants from Africa do well in the UK and other European countries. The best of the best leave, super selection.

When I find the link I'm looking for I'll send it
