Just filed my taxes. Huge pain. The ACA fees are incredible (go look them up) if you don't have government-qualified insurance.
Also, I don't think you have to have a driver's license to operate an automobile on the public roads. Driver's licenses are for paid drivers / commercial purposes. I've been digging into it more and more and I'm becoming more and more convinced that this is the case. The key thing is to travel in an automobile, and not drive a motor vehicle.
But regardless, we could do a lot better with our money if we didn't get taxed like this. And think, too, how taxing is largely recursive, and the money shrinks every hand it passes through. They inject it here and there, there's government sponsored this or that, but largely, it disappears. And whatever disappears is used by an incompetent organization that threatens your liberty if you don't pay up.
MafiaGov: We're here to help you. Just pay us as much as you can, or else
Maybe the stress of government will help get us more traction for those who don't want to deal with it?
