Sort of unfair, though, as it would apply to 90% of the threads on GAF.

Columbus was a pretty ambitious explorer that got fucked in the ass by Ferdinand and Isabella king and queen of castille,Spain. they offered him possessions and they title of viceroy which he only enjoyed for a time before they brought a excuse to strip him of his possessions.the man was a visionary for having the guts to look for a route to asia via west since common knowledge of that era was that the earth was flat among other myths.the thing is that by his 2nd or 3rd voyage he realized that he had discovered a new continent

believe it or not thanks to this man most of us are alive since most likely your ancestors fled europe in order to find a better life thus our existence here right now.

One correction: by Columbus's time, the world was widely known to be round, not flat.

Still, you have to remember what voyage like that meant back then. Not only were long ocean trips by ship ridiculously dangerous, but Colombus had no idea just how long it would take to get from Spain to Asia using his theorized route. He was taking a huge gamble with his life and the lives of his entire crew.

The Earth proved to be much bigger than Columbus or anyone else knew back then, but thankfully, he found The New World by accident.

If you see a thread pop up then just say Columbus Day should be celebrated across North and South America as a day of thanks to Christopher Columbus for coming to the continent and teaching the locals to eat tacos instead of each other.

Columbus was just another crypto-jew that our kike overlords want us to celebrate. I'm with GAF on this one, but for a totally different reason.
