Damn man, Russia has better internet than Australia. Right now where I'm at (inner city of Brisbane) best I can get is 11Mbs down and 1Mbs up. They are meant to be rolling out a National Broadband Network offering speeds up to 25Mbs down and I think it was 10Mbs up. It's such a joke.

What kind of work do you do if you don't mind my asking?

Haha Vegemite is yummo as long as it's with a dairy product like butter or cheese to smooth out the bitterness. Does Russia or China have an equivalent to Vegemite?

I remember playing the original counter strike with Russians and the old Alien vs Predator. Always good fun despite the lag. I'd have google translate open in alt tab so I could learn a few basic sayings and get a laugh out of them.

I work in a big commercial bank here in China.

Do you mean Megabytes per second or Megabits? Different things. I know about Australian issues with the internet, since I played some WoW back in 2010-2012 with Australian guild. I am sure some of them actually now have 100Mbps internet (which is like 12MB/s if you count in bytes and not bits), at least I remember them saying they got 100Mbps when NBN rolled out near them.

Also hard to tell about Vegemite since I can't really say if I know the flavor and if anything of similar flavor is available in Russia. So really impossible to tell. But if you mean general weird food that locals like and foreigners don't - China has plenty of that. Russia? I think maybe only one dish. I know foreigners are terrified of trying it, even though some western europe cousins have similar dishes, at least had few hundreds years ago, according to Wikipedia. It's called Холодец (Apsic according to wiki). Mainly made from pork and pig feet. You can google it.

Fair enough, sounds like a solid career.

Megabits /second. When I lived interstate in Victoria I had Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) for a time and that was 100Mbs down and 25Mbs up. That put me in the top 1% of Australian internet connections. It's a whole different experience. Hopefully they roll out better connections soon. Might actually take another crack at playing online in seriousness then.

Hmm Aspic looks interesting, I'd probably give it a go for the experience. Thanks for the chat mate!
