I had a stretch where I couldn't sleep for long due to long hours and commute. One night I started having this sleep paralysis thing where I saw a demon like thing standing over me . In my "dream" I punched it in the face and woke up midway through swinging at nothing. I quit the job soon after and got one closer to home so i could sleep more. I have never had a problem with it again.
Yeah this happened to me for awhile. It's incredibly bizarre cause it's like.. I guess I'm awake enough, but yet 'sleeping'. I see someone lurking in the bedroom and I'm just like 'fuck no." Swing, leap out of bed and go for something and then realize like wow I feel dumb. Once I hit my fist into the wall. That was a hell of a wake up call.
I've had it happen on more than one occasion. Except, instead of leaping out of bed I can't move my body, my breathing gets heavier, the feeling of helplessness because there's someone in my room and I can't do anything about it increases...It's actually a pretty scary thing to have happen to you.
