Yep. They bitch and moan about how expensive San Francisco and New York City are, when really the only thing keeping them there is their desire for easier-to-find sex.
Around here they talk about Olympia Washington since it’s not a super big city but is basically the gay Mecca of the PNW(no idea if it still is, I haven’t heard much about it in 5 years). It’s expensive as shit though, I even knew closeted homos(didn’t know at the time) who would go to Olympia to party every weekend, at the time I didn’t know that it was a gay city or why they would drive two hours instead of just going to a bar here, they would just say it was more fun up there.
I had been there before a few times and noticed there were gays everywhere but never put it together. It wasn’t until my gay cousin moved there and he was talking about it that it all made since. Even though he had supposedly become celibate he still wanted to live in a gay enclave.
