Obama farewell thread (share some good things about the past 8 yrs) - Thanks Obama - NeoGAF

"It's been so great to have a president I could thoroughly respect, smart and with a good heart even if often pressured to compromise, and with an amazing 1st family to boot.He wasn't perfect, of course, but again no one is, but I think that in the long term history will recognize him as a great President, who has not only saved the country from the brink of a great depression, but also salvaged entire aspects of the Us' economy (automobile...) and has placed the country on the path to having meaningful Clean energy industries. Also, the progress made for the LGBT community under his leadership cannot be understated. It's such a shame that in the end Us voters (well, the way the system is built anyway) elected such a Yuge tool to succeed him, and I sincerely hope that his signature legislation will not be entirely replaced but only adjusted so that, in time, the credit can still go to Barack Obama for the 1st step towards Universal Health Coverage (hopefully one day).History should also remember how much crap he had to go through with Republican, while he was trying to compromise all the way, even angering the Democrat bae on more than one occasion."

' Obstruction and disrespect at every level, from day one: "You Lie!" , "Our objective i to make Mr Obama a 1 term President", etc.I will miss you, Mr President, and I hope you won't give up on the fight as you have hinted (in particular with an effort to regain ground on local state legislatures)'
