I went with some friends to see Warcraft today. There were quite a few previews, and as I don't see movies at the theater much anymore I watched each of them pretty closely. When the preview for Ghostbusters started, my buddy and I snickered and mocked quietly "Diversity: The Movie". So as I sat there watching it, I realized I would like to see the movie. The CGI was spectacular, I've enjoyed that Wiig girl for years now, and that McKinnon chick isn't half bad either. McCarthy has been okay in a few things I've seen her in as well. Over the course of the trailer the only scene that annoyed was the black lady not being crowd surfed and saying she wasn't sure if it was because she was "black or a woman, but I'm pissed" which got nothing but silence from the crowd. I know it's forced diversity, and I know it's a shitty thing that happens constantly now, but the trailer, especially the special effects was really interesting.
