I think that is wonderful -- makes it all clear how the NSA does a lot of it's work. They have a highly professional demeanor, and really take their work seriously; they probably really believe they're doing the world some good, although in FACT it's really the other way around. The fact that they're incredibly bad and misinformed does not undercut the work that they do...

I think the scariest part of what they do is the intentional creation of backdoors and 0day exploits they put into software to gain access to it, over the last few years they have raced to buy every 0 day exploit they can get their hands on and they dont care from who or where. This is so counter intuitive to the idea of safety its scary. These people are purposefully creating or leaving security exploits open on systems around the world for their own personal espionage gains.

I could only imagine how much safer technology would be if they used their powers for good rather than for being profit making little shits
