I believe in RGIII having what it takes mentally. It'd be harder for me to root for Kaep. I'd also argue that RGIII doesn't need that much fixing.

I agree that RG3 has what it takes, his professionalism in the face of basically a public humiliation is a big sign of that. But mental issues are fixable. Permanent physical issues aren't. Two ACL reconstructions on the same knee? We know ACLs are a higher risk to blow again after repair. After two? I can't think of any athlete that has ever returned to form after two. And of course even if he can it seems like a huge dice roll that it won't happen again. I'm not saying RG3 shouldn't be signed by anyone, and certainly he'll be cheap with a huge possible upside if somehow he gets back to form. But if you have a choice straight up between him and Kap as the heir to a championship team that has a leader in Bowlen (or Elway acting on his behalf or as his pseudo heir) that actively works every year to win titles (I'd argue Bowlen has done as much as any owner in the league to field a winner year in and out and more than most) and has a core that can without needing superb QB play as evidenced by this year Kap seems the safer play.

Trust me Robert does not have what it takes mentally to be a leader of men. I'd argue that he has the physical talents but not the mental fortitude or football iq. It's no secret in DC Robert didn't spend time in the film room and refused to watch bad tape of himself. His physical talents are off the charts but his ego is a problem and he refuses to work on his technique like footwork in the pocket. His first year he trained with his personal qb coach, and when the team hired a qb coach to polish his technique he ignored his lessons and continued working with his personal qb coach in the off-season. Just stupid shit like that. And he's really good at throwing team mates under the bus.
