Greenbay going to cut some staff? What about Saints? Sean Payton to Browns for draft pick?

Patience, square. Patience.

Coaching trades are funny in that they only go through if the coach agrees to sign with the new team. I can't imagine Payton would agree to sign with Cleveland. If we do decide to deal him (and I don't think we will, certainly not for just a second rounder as the twidiots are suggesting) the places in need that make sense are San Francisco cause he's from there, the Colts cause he speaks highly of Luck, and New York since he got his big time start there. He'd probably sign there. But if you live in NOLA and are an offensive coach with Drew Brees and a promising young offensive players why would you agree to a deal with Cleveland? Especially if you know there would be suitors on the open market and even if the Saints straight up cut you in a way too late to coach next season the way coaching contacts work you're still getting paid. That's why these coaching trades rarely happen.

Just found that the Saints will take a second round pick for Sean Payton.

Garbage report. Jay Glazer said that purely in speculation, now everyone is repeating it as fact. Everything out of the respected beat writers in NOLA is he's staying. Now that could be a smokescreen to drive up the price, but he's not going anywhere for just a second rounder.
