I'm not a football fan, but I can tell you that people are just sick of regular TV. Mix that with the same boring game EVERY YEAR. Spoiled millionaires using their work as a political platform. And the MASSIVE amount of commercials and minimal game play..... It's fucking boring. Throw it on netflix or have online only. Charge a fee. No commercials. Extra cameras. Follow teams at practice. Problem solved.

Or lower the price of red zone (or let me use it without a cable subscription).

I wouldn't mind paying 20$ a month for like an NFC-South package, covered practices, coach/player pressers, full games, maybe save some money with hulu type ads or just graphics on the sidelines like soccer

From what I've seen they would probably charge $100-$200, just based on other sports packages online with no commercials.

Watching NFL football is getting to be almost as difficult to watch as baseball with too many commercials, too many penalties, no one knows what a catch is, players acting like idiots when they catch a pass, and announcers who seem to be watching a different game.

SB was the only game I watched last season. Lost interest in the National Felon League when the Bucs drafted a rapist and Kapernick exhibited treason.

NFL ratings are down for 2016 and might continue to slump - Business Insider

'The NFL season is over, but the trouble might just be getting started for the league. '

'The fact that NFL ratings improved slightly after the end of the election seemed to support that theory. '

'Before the election, ratings for NFL games had declined 12% year-over-year, according to analysts at MoffettNathanson. ', "Though Goodell doesn't mention competition with streaming services, he said he thinks there are structural changes the NFL can make to boost viewership."

'And for much of the season, every NFL primetime offering â\x80\x94 on Sundays, Mondays, and Thursdays â\x80\x94 was down by double digits. '

This has been an automated message.

For the most part it's the demographics. Millennial males and the next generation behind them are getting more like women.

Also, they're ruining the game by flagging really hard hits. This is football, not tennis. Let them play.

Devout fan of the league for over 30 years. I watched exactly 2 full games this year and 1 quarter of another.

Colin Kaepernick and the racist mindset behind it will keep me from ever going back to the sheild "full time" Roger Goodell fucked up by not implementing that something as simple as standing for the flag be mandatory. Don't stand and respect it, you don't play.

Americans are tired of the whining. Crying, and complaining by fucking millionaires. If they're so "oppressed" and want to take a stand, then go be a part of a charity FULL TIME. Give YOUR money and not just stand at a location and expect others to do for you, give for you. Fuck you. You hypocrites.
