This is a undeniable fact, how and why is up to the beliefs of the interpreter. I can't see any real solutions beyond electoral reform. (IMO)
The USA was supposed to be a laboratory of democracy, with States and counties experimenting with new ideas. Some would work, some would fail, some results would remain opaque and ambiguous. Then other states could pick and choose what they want to implement based off of others of their own findings.
Society and the economy in the USA has grown stagnant IMO. Why is again up to the interpreter. Is it because change is bad for business? Is it because how things are benefit a select few? It doesn't matter. What matters is that we as a nation, and even as a species in general should start experimenting once more to create a better way of life for everyone on the planet.
Do I claim to know how to fix it all, or that I know it all? NO. But together we know all that is known, and coming together is a step in the right direction.
Let us come together to find our common ground no matter your political affiliation. Baby steps. Even if it is about small tiny things. Let's start there. Maybe we try out one person's idea over here, and another person's idea over there. Maybe one is better. Maybe they are both good but in different places or applications.
The point of this post is that we need to get the lab churning again. It feels like the lab was bought by international corporations to see how to best extract wealth from nation states IMO.
Whatever, I didn't have kids for a reason. Feel free to keep fighting about who is to blame for how things are rather then coming together to find a solution.
