Stuff like this makes into the supposedly best and most prestigious galleries in the world. This one sold for $110 million.

So it's more of a suggestion meant to keep this kind of stuff out. If this piece (or any other) hasn't been officially exhibited I allow it, people are welcome to downvote it if they don't like it, or if they think it's politicizing the sub and they don't like that, that's fair too.

Sidebar rules aside only really spam, child pornography, or the likes will be removed. If you post a gazillion shitty sketches I might politely ask you to go over to v/art instead, but I probably wouldn't even remove them, I dunno, I have to try to juggle free speech (which I'm for and is central to voat), with what I consider good standards of quality (we are not a default sub I reserve the right to discriminate in that sense).

I feel you! I wouldn’t want it removed from Voat’s museum. And not asking for moderator action.

Just skeptical this submission is fine art hanging in a museum.

Thanks for keeping this place up, by the by

I like that $110 Million one, but think it is somewhat overpriced.

What I wanted to see is the date OP's painting was commissioned. OP, it is the Museum rule to include the date along with the name of the submission. Thanks for the acquisition anyway.

I used to like Basquiat when I was younger. I must confess I no longer dig abstract expressionism at all. And yeah, OP probably didn't know the date, but he could have gone with "c. 2017" or something, no way this painting goes back to the 90s.
