[m] I'll bite.

Sure IRL Johnson hasn't got the same coverage as Bernie or Trump or whoever, but he has gotten a fair amount of coverage thus far in this election cycle(more then he did in 2012 and I would say almost as much coverage as Perot did) Do a Google Search on Johnson and you will get countless interviews he did on CNN, FOX, ect. If he has gotten this much coverage now who is to say he won't get more as the months progress.

But at the same time I see what you are saying.

Really I've only heard is name like once before, honestly I think he lacks the name recognition to win US election this year, maybe a push for 2020 but the only 3rd party candidates that really stand a chance would be Sanders or Trump of they were forced out. Maybe a celebrity but not a next to unknown politician.

Maybe you are following the wrong outlets. Joking...don't invade.

Seriously though, I get what you are saying don't get me wrong. But I think going along the idea that the majority of people in the US are classical liberal(socially liberal fiscally conservative) or Libertarian leaning if Johnson got on the debate stage I feel he could do well.

With that being said I'm going to end this with one more quick fact about Johnson. In a poll done last month he received 11% in a 3 way race with Trump and Sanders. Link

So maybe if more people heard his message by say getting on the debate stage he would be a serious condender and could win the election. People are hungry for a outsider which explains the rise of Sanders, and Trump. Johnson is as much a outsider as they are. And @PntBtr put Johnson on the debate stage so his message would resonance more.

Full disclosure I'm a moderator on v/libertarian so I'm kinda well versed in Gary Johnson and what he is doing.
