Agreements made with China in 2016
Tatiana Stolyarova Reporting on Russia 24 news.
Russian minister of energy Alexander Novak presented a new multi-Billion usd infrastructural plan this morning at a Kremlin press conference. With a broad smile on his face he presented the new projects.
"Within our long and steady friendship China and Russia have decided to strengthen our ties even more on economic and cultural grounds. During our meeting in 2016 we agreed on a multitude of issues and these projects are one of the major agreements. The Chinese economy is in dire need for energy, which we are more then happy to supply. Hence we are greatly extending our energy pipeline infrastructure. Multiple extensions of the energy pipeline infrastructure from Russia and Kazakhstan to China in the west, and from Siberia to China in the north east are started."
"To make travel and trade between our countries easier we are starting construction on a new high speed train track from Moscow - Kazan - Beijing - Vladivostok - Kharbarosk, making use of Chinese expertise and planning to have a next generation based on the new Chinese CRH2-300 high speed trains travelling around 300 - 350 KM/h on these tracks. A new modern highway will be constructed parallel to the train-tracks to increase transport options. To help north western Chinese regional agriculture a water-pipeline draining water from the Argut River will be constructed across the border to supply the region with much needed fresh water. With China and Russia also starting to cooperate more in space exploration a cargo line from Beijing to Vostochny Cosmodrome, for easier transportation of Chinese space assets to the space port for launches is planned."
"We see these projects as a further step in our relations with China. And we are assured these will lead to great benefit of both our great nations!" - Alexander Novak
Tatiana continued
"We here at Russia 24 are very glad with these investments and are assured the Russian people will reap the benefits of these ties. Progress on the inland high speed train connection to central Russia and Siberia has yet to be announced. (the line marked red in the map)"
