Wow, I haven't played this game in about 2 years now. Maybe I'll start up the old PC today and play a few games. I remember the first time I played the game, signing on with an account used by 10 other people from my school. Anyone else remember having one shade of wood, stairs broke back into blocks and booster rails. Something that I truly loved, and hated at times, was the health and food systems. Hearts only regenerated by eating, but food didn't stack, taking up a lot of inventory space, and it was scarce resource during the first days in the game. They've added a lot since this time, some brilliant and some unnecessary. Looking back to when I finally put the game down, I felt overwhelmed and annoyed with the direction it was taking. For me it was losing it's charm that made it gripping in the beginning. Food was abundant, enchantments and potions made mobs and environments almost no challenge. Tactical PvP battles turned into who had the most golden apples. Even with all this I still feel drawn to pick it back up. I'm sure there are servers that fill my Minecraft preference.

That is awesome. I remember alpha wondering if it was ever going to take off. I guess it did.
