Maybe his current life but he's only 17. It's not like he's spent years establishing a reputation, he could have started again. He should have gone back to therapy, he stopped going shortly before be died.
If person A would have checked both ways before proceeding through the intersection drunk person B who ran the red light wouldn't have killed person A.
I didn't mean to come of as a dick, I don't blame him. It's true a 17 year old doesn't always have perspective. It takes incredible courage to commit suicide. He's been battling with his mental health since 13, I feel bad for the lad and that he felt this was the only way.
I don't think it's wise to tell guys their life is over if falsely accused of rape because that's not the case in the long run. If he'd known that maybe he would still be alive. It gives far too much power to psycho women. The court of law is fair and will review the case extensively. Its only the universities jumping to conclusions.
Most non-feminists would see through a false rape accusation.
I wanted to know all the details to make a fair judgment. There isn't any evidence either way, the article is vague.
As much as I hate feminists I don't think you can side with one party blindly because they fit your cause..

This accusation would likely have followed him for the rest of his life.

okay, this is what's not wise to tell people. fucking do not trust the courts, especially if you're male against a female.
