Do your research about prison conditions, please. Most sources (here is the APA) find women's services in prison to actually be lacking when compared to the programs offered to men. Also, the conditions for medium level security are the same for men and women.. She was acquitted on the murder charge and is actually serving for a different offense as per your article. If she had been found guilty, it'd be highly unlikely she would have gone to Albion according to New York law, she would have probably gone to Bedford Hills, a maximum security prison. There are no kid gloves here, you are just twisting the topic.

Abuse of any kind is a very serious thing which should not be diminutized because of gender. You may find this site of value, which campaigns to raise awareness for domestic violence against men and tries to get prisons to adopt programs for battered men.

Nope. And that's not even going into overcrowding/guard numbers.

So she wasn't even convicted? That hardly makes the situation any better, and definitely constitutes being handled with kid gloves.

All I'm calling for is equality. If the defence works for women it should work for men too.
