as someone who is actually somewhat familiar with the MMA athlete mindset, this is completely unfounded.
most high level fighters are less likely to be interested in violence, not more likely. i'm not saying that applies in this case specifically, but your blanket statement covering fighters and violence is absolutely incorrect. her tendencies for domestic abuse have no connection with her MMA experience. yes, the desire to do violence and the desire to do MMA may come from the same place, but one does not cause the other.
all that said, i do need to concede that while male fighters are less likely to be violent than male non-fighters, female fighters are more likely to be violent than female non-fighters.
