That brings back memories. I saw this a lot back in the DOS days, especially when using XTree for file management. Microsoft even used it on some utilities in DOS. I miss those days sometimes.

Simpler times in computing for sure. Games would come out and create new genres, new hardware was something never before seen (especially in graphics and even audio). Shareware was widespread and much like the indie scene today (just much smaller), and BBSes were magical. When the WWW came around too it was populated only by nerds. No spying, no government bullshit, no social media, very little drama.
