Not if he has a good enough lawyer. A good enough lawyer can get you out of anything. Just ask OJ. Also, my point is not that he'll get arrested. My point is that he should stand trial. Also, Daniel Ellsburg, who was in a similar boat, got off, so I see very little reason why Snowden wouldn't with a good enough lawyer.

Under the current law his trial can be held in secret closed courts. The government could prevent much public influence by doing this. Let me ask you this, would you even trust the average american person with your life? Would you risk your life and put it in the hands of the very government you exposed abuses of? I think not.

Just ask OJ

That's wildly different.

Daniel Ellsberg

This is a different day and age.

Snowden would be sent to the gallows with little fanfare.

You just don't know what they'll do to him if they ever get their hands on the guy. The NSA spy network is so much more than just keeping an eye on people. It allows for the manipulation of reality as we know it. Suppose he does surrender himself and come back to "face the music". We could watch a phony trial with some body double shortly after he returns and nobody would be able to know what they do with the real him.
