She only seems to partially get the point. She tells of the sins of the administration but only blames the mods. I don't get her inability to take that last step and see that its rotten from the inside out.

I blame both parties pretty equally.

P.S. I'm a dude.

Yeah, there is no fixing Reddit without a complete administration change over to revert the policies back to honoring freedom of speech. The mods have gotten like they are because the admins allow and encourage it.

Complete opposite of here. I'm going to assume you don't have a lot of background of Voat. Atko and PuttItOut, the two admins here, have repeatedly removed mods that have started acting like Reddit mods. For example, v/AskVoat & /v/science (story here) have no mods anymore because the previous mods acted like this was Reddit. And even more recent, a mod of /v/worldnews was removed for deleting posts he didn't agree with.

Your article is well written, but I wonder why you hesitate to specify exactly which political notions are to blame? It's very relevant.

Ok, I'm going with the assumption this is you and you just made an acount. Sorry about the confusion. Your picture icon is a little small I looked again and it's clear now that I looked closer.

First thing block subvoat is your friend when the hate subvoats get to much.

After that, enjoy. We are rather opinionated here and don't shy from a good discussion.

It's taken her this long to figure it out and she seem to have to resort to long winded blow hard diatrIabes to process what we already knew nearly a year ago. She might just be too narcissistic and slow at processing things to be able to see things clearly.

First I'm a dude, don't know many chicks named Trent with facial hair.

Secondly, as I mentioned in my post I've been witnessing this for years. I'm obviously well aware of what is happening, and even stood up against censorship on MySpace about 10 years ago (fuck I'm old).

This isn't the first time this has happened to a major Internet property, and it probably won't be the last.

The timing of my post I must admit was influenced by the anniversary of Aaron Swartz's passing, discovering unreddit, and the new privacy policy. I just couldn't take it anymore, I had to say something.

Yep, as soon as the paragraph started about "how do we fix this" I was out. Its unfixable. They can't get rid of their advertising contracts and all the bullshit they've signed with marketers. There is no undoing whats been done. Its too far gone. Its been infiltrated by every fucking body from the Alphabet Soup to the Advertisers and MSM. Its trash.

Rotten from the top down. Admins website, admins control over servers, admins rules, admins software, etc. They can manage mods, or let them have free reign.
