They removed the original sticky comment after reaching -1100. Now they just locked the thread.

Grab the popcorn, here comes another shitstorm.

Ahahaha.

Yes, this Cologne story had just enough elements to really make it a 'thing'. Now we need some horrible video footage that Reddit mods can delete over and over and over, but never really get rid of. And then we'll have it as no. 1 on our frontpage.

yeah, but a typical brainless redditor will have to sift through hundreds of lefty posts to even see it.

They actually banned any new articles with the word "Cologne" in it. Including articles like this one about Vladimir Putin's new fragrance that is on sale. Reddit is so censored now that it is ridiculous.

Don't you know cologne helps prop up the patriarchy which contributes to rape culture?

Eau de rape.

start using TOR, if you haven't been IP banned multiple times on reddit you're not being honest

Haha, I've never. Oddly always had decent relations with the admins.

I used to have multiple accounts and spam an entire thread with fucked up shit and would then upvote it with all my ults. Like i'd plaster an entire thread with copy/pasta. TOR is slow as fuck and pretty aggravating to use but it still works and bypasses IP bans and hopefully keeps you somewhat safe.

I can't say I'm surprised.

This is typical of the types of people that attempt to craft their own realities around ideologies they feel to be morally superior. It makes them feel good, it makes them feel better.

I don't care- if I did, it would have prevented much of my tremendous successes.

What exactly counts as off site brigading? Why do they even care where traffic is coming from?

I think the mods check this sub out and make their own conclusions as to what is happening on their Orwellian shithole.

Why do they care what Voat does? They already have SRS brigading all over Reddit and they never cared.

Yup, if you disagree with the narrative then you're not a 'real' redditor and must be a troll, shill, brigader or harasser.

Pretty sure they call it brigading when people post something that goes against their narrative

It's really simple. If the thread deviates from their preferred narrative, they blame brigading and lock it.

Anything (opinions) they don't like = oh must be brigades.

Same excuse that that SRS/SRD/SJWs used to blame FPH for, to justify the sub ban.

Interesting to see this same stupidity so widespread on reddit nowadays. It's borderline paranoia, it's like they have to blame all these other reasons for user comments, instead of accepting that not everyone has the same opinion as what is politically correct and "nice to say". The news subs on Reddit are chalk full of mod drama whenever stuff reaches the front page, it's like they can't handle modding a sub where people should be expected to have differing political and social opinions.

I was shadowbanned from reddit for "brigading" from voat. So they can and do know what websites people come from.

Moderators do not. Admins might, depending on your route there.

What do you mean by 'route'?

If you're on Firefox install an add-on called Referrer Control and set it to always remove your referrer or to target's host, this way they can't know where you are being linked from.

Keep in mind with this, you'll find a lot of sites get really pissy about referrers being messed with, because they use it to stop people hotlinking their images.

[–] rwbj 0 points 1 points (+1|-0) ago  (edited ago)

Whenever you visit a site from another site there is, by default, a "referrer" field that tells the new site where you came from. If you do not click on a link, the referrer field is not generated. For instance click on https://www.whatismyreferer.com/ and then copy/paste the url and go to it manually. (edit/note Your browser may cache this page after the first visit resulting in it showing the same referrer when manually entering the url. Hold alt while clicking refresh to force most modern browsers to grab a fresh copy of the site.) Another way to fix this problem, other than copy pasting links, is to search for a browser plugin that changes your referrer. They are available for every major browser. Just search for 'referrer' in the plugin library.

"We think this thread is being brigaded* so we're going to brigade the comments even worse by deleting them all!"

* A word they're using to mean a bunch of people are voting and commenting on a site dedicated to voting and commenting, in one of the largest subreddits on the entire site.
