Telling someone to read books is racist. This is the future they have chosen.

If I was black I'd be triggered to. How do they expect me to read when I'm a typical black illiterate.

Most of the people in that sub are not black.

That's a lot of "white" high schoolers and college kids pretending to be black.

Well yeah because black people can't read so by telling them to read you're mocking them for their illiteracy. I'm just kidding. I'd call the mod hypersensitive but it's an entirely different thing. Hypersensitivity is when you are too sensitive to the world around you. Not too sensitive to people suggesting you read a book.

Funny is that the mod has to think that blacks are illiterate in order to see this comment as racist.

Just in case people here are not pretending to misunderstand: The 'oh wait' is what adds the racism. Telling someone to read a book whilst being black is not racist. Telling them to read a specific book probably could be contrued as racist depending on the subject. To clarify, 'oh wait' implies they cannot read or are not inclined to because of them being black and stereotypically/statisticly less likely or able to read. It's hypocritical for sure considering of course the OP implying all white people look the same.

Still a sad world when something so innocent can be seen as racist.
