Yep. Except on Tumblr, no one bans you for stepping outside the groupthink.

Apparently, Tumblr is starting to enforce social justice policy.

I’m not surprised, I’m just surprised they haven’t enforced their narrative earlier.

"Body shaming" (of fat people) isn't allowed under the guise of promoting unhealthy eating habits (read: anorexia).

Really? I thought tumblr was more like Twitter, they don't care too much.

Yeah, they just harass you until you try to commit suicide or call your place of employment to get you fired. But no bans :-)

That's a great point.

They don't ban you, but they will chase you off the website, threaten to kill you, and then accuse you of rape.

It's the people who think they're too edgy and cool for tumblr. the same kind of people that act like going to 4chan makes them the most dangerous guy around when it is just an image board.

Well there was a time when 4chan was something of the wild west of the Internet

And there was a time Reddit wasn't corporate trash, but those times are over and we must move on.

Tumblr is way better, if you follow, like, art blogs instead of SJW bullshit and crappy pop culture gifs.

crappy pop culture gifs

That's another annoying tic. The need to overuse gifs in the most annoying way possible. Naturally, the behavior has spread to sites like XOJane.

you can do the same thing with reddit, of course

The best part is they actively mock Tumblr and continue to show their inability to understand irony and similar concepts.

This is why I am leaving Reddit for voat. I am tired of the shadow banning and censorship, and I hope to find a new, honest, open, direct, and better community here.

[–] ChillyHellion [S] 0 points 3 points (+3|-0) ago

Exactly. I mod for a default community and I think open mod logs are probably the biggest stroke of genius for a site like this. Being able to easily track moderation activity builds a lot of good faith in the community when you're doing a good job, and people are free to comment on minor issues before they become bigger issues. Sometimes moderator action is necessary, so there's no reason not to make it as transparent and predictable as possible.

Every time I open a post with only around 10-15 comments, in reality there are only like, five. The shadow banning has gotten insane. I'm shadow banned and I hadn't even been active for months before I noticed. No idea what I could have done.

You will till it gets too big and the PC brigade and powermods will creep into the daily life.

I seriously didn't realize what had happened to reddit until I came here. My God that place is so fucked it's unbelievable. We can disagree with each other here and not get banned or yelled at. It's great.

100% with you here. Actually being able to say what's on your mind without fear of the hurt feefee banhammer is beautiful.

I'm with you on this. I started fucking around with voat every now and then while still frequently browsing Reddit. Even though there wasn't as much content on Voat I realized I was participating on Voat a whole lot more than Reddit and it was just all around a better experience.

Then I deleted Reddit, yada yada...
