When the AMAs were more spontaneous and "real", they were a lot more fun, however the turned out, the whole (white men can't jump actor) rampart issue and so on, but I think that was the turning point. They knew no famous person would put themselves out there to get slaughtered. btw the people who put an honest effort always come off looking good for at least trying and interacting, unlike the scripted AMAs. I have to say I feel like I know why they are doing what they are doing, advertising money mainly, so I hope Voat doesn't ever get to that point. Lets hope the community can keep it going through other means.

Some of them were always operated by PR companies, and many are still conducted by the public figure in question.
