I don't want to link to Reddit, but if you Google "Reddit TPP ban" you can find info that might answer your question.
Edit: No one is talking about this, but the fact that Reddit is censoring articles about a treaty that effects many countries is fucking scary to me.

I don't follow r/news, but I could see them banning articles on a topic if too many people are submitting the same/similar articles on the same topic at the same time.
