Site looks horrendous though.

Owner of Voatpic here.
I just built it a few days ago and I am still working on making it pretty. It is designed to be fast (ie: minimalistic) so that is number one on my list. If making it look "good" makes it slower, I wont do it.

That's cool, great job on the site and I hope you succeed!
I'm not hating on Voatpic - I recognize that there's a lot of backend work that involves more than making it "look pretty". For something that's built so recently, Voatpic works pretty well. But in the face of alternatives like Slimgur, Veuwer, Postox, etcetc, if you want to make it to the big leagues then UI/UX has to be a consideration. In particular, drag-and-drop as well as uploading from URL are features that you'd need to implement.
Unless, of course, you're aiming for a niche target audience - I'm not sure what your intentions are. Whatever the case - I only have my words and an upgoat for you, but good luck with the site!

It's just a image-hosting site. You won't really spend that much time there. Most people will only see the hosted images on Voat and never have to look at Voatpic.
Besides, it's only a few days old.

Yea, but Slimgur or Veuwer or Postox or any of the other sites have equal functionality and looks better when I upload stuff.
Hopefully Voatpic improves though, the more the merrier!
