The one historical event that changed society so much and is so obviously true can never be investigated or questioned in any way that may even be slightly interpreted as not fully accepting all details as presented.

No. No problems here.

Conversation is impossible if one side refuses to acknowledge the basic premise that facts are facts. This is why engaging deniers in such an effort means having already lost.

LOL! The irony.

Even if the holohoax happened, it doesn't mean much in the greater contex of the on going wars.

Yes it does. It means the Jews are the ultimate oppressed race and therefore can visit atrocities on anyone else without question.

Conversation is impossible if one side refuses to acknowledge the basic premise that facts are facts.

Shit like "The Nazis made lamps out of Jewish skin" was mainstream holohoax drivel a few decades ago, and even the holohoax industry had to back off that claim.

If we're content with facts are facts, then we couldn't get to the truth about the Jewish lamps.

If we're content with facts are facts, then thunder and lightning are caused by when Zeus gets angry and all diseases can be cured with leaches on and on and on....

Same as global warming: they tell you what the experts' consensus is, and dissenters are heretics. It seems specifically a perversion of the degenerate, Godless form of Christian authority which is familiar to them.

"AskHistorians is unique in another way. It shares a social media host, Reddit, with a number of communities that have become notorious for their toxicity, such as the Pizzagate conspiracy theorists, the misogynists of the Red Pill, and the pro-Trump trolls of The_Donald. The subdivided but shared platform exposes our group of moderators to a daily barrage of sexism, racism, white supremacy, and Holocaust denial."

Something tells me that these history professors don't care much for objectivity.

No other horrible incident has been to sought after, as to legally enforce a narrative. Even if you think this type of authority us the new standard, it doesn't apply to newer genocides or mass deaths.

Nothing happened in Cambodia in the 1970s. Nothing happened in Rwanda in the 1990s. These two newer genocides do not have the same social or legal protection. But some event that happened years before my parents birth has to have legal and societal protection? Why? What makes the Jewish live more valuable than a Khmer? Than a Tutsi?

This is why he said he wouldn't, to drum up calls to ban them so he can then say he had no choice.

The one event that is so unquestionably true, that you get banned for questioning it or, in some countries, even go to jail.
