I like Voat, but objectively it can't compete just yet. Even today alone, it had to undergo maintenance, and that hurts. Each time there was a surge from Reddit, Voat's servers simply died, and that also hurt its momentum. With that said, Voat is growing at a blazing pace, and will be there when Reddit inevitably screws up, which it will.

The even bigger issue I see.
Voat is a crazy circle jerk right now over how much "Reddit sucks".
If it wants to go Anywhere, I need to come here and see funny/interesting stuff, not "LOL down with Reddit Long Live Goat Voat."

You're commenting in a sub called /v/meanwhileonreddit, which can easily be blocked from your front page. It's like going in to /v/pics and complaining that there are too many pictures being shared.
