Lol, if that is really what caused this then Reddit and Pao are even dumber than we thought. Jessse Jackson is a racist and an asshole. He promotes the sort of shit that hasn't been relevant or needed since King's speech for fuck's sake. Then again people hate being called on their bullshit, and I imagine that he make a big fucking deal out of it to the admins there so that they would do something about the "rampant racism" i.e. disagreement.

Victoria prob had very clear instructions from Reddit execs not to let AMA guests respond to hard-hitting questions. It's hilarious for users when shitty AMA's deservedly go down in flames, but bad for Reddit's bottom-line because advertisers don't want to associate their product with public figures being accused of racism and extortion.

Mr. Jackson, You are an immoral, hate-filled race baiter that has figured out how to manipulate the political system for your own gain. You've personally set back race relations year after year and continue to do more harm than good. Extorting money from companies to line your pockets and threatening to bus in protestors and create a fake racial controversy if they don’t agree to pay you off is NOT civil rights activism. My question is simple; how is your relationship with the illegitimate child you fathered in 1998 while cheating on your wife? Bonus question: How much money have you extorted from various people and companies over the years of practicing your shakedown scheme? Do you think Al Capone would be jealous of your business model if he were still alive?

They should have known that some hard-ball questions would be fielded. Laying the blame on Victoria for that would be pretty shitty, but it would not really surprise me if they made her the scapegoat.

Victoria's job was PR for Reddit, and she jeopardized it by allowing Mr. Jackson to answer a rather scathing question.
