They dont have 6m users, they dont have 400k, they dont even have the 13k that is visible at any one time, 4k of those are bots which is how anything gets upvoted (take a look at their NEW feed, maybe things get a couple hundred upvotes tops), they maybe have 2k people participating and another 8k shariablue bots downvoting everything.

TD on here is maybe 300 people but they are actual people, no bots or shills here.

As a former t_d lurker and occasional poster, this sickens me. I'm saddened to realize how cucked that place was even before this latest debacle and realizing further how much they were censoring very important information, not just anti trump spam as I thought. It's ironic and possibly subconscious projection how often they call everyone else the cucks, when in truth they are Reddits little cuck squad now. Never going back. Deleted my account over there and deleted the app. Fuck you spez.

The entire T_D sub is now circle jerking about how they beat the admin, showed EDITt how powerful they are, and this is the end of Spez, they won't be controlled again, etc, etc. No info or questions about what happened or what's up with the mod shakeup. In the past, if anything happened with mods there was an explanation sticky immediately.

I don't mind them coming here if they come as individuals, experience what the place is really like and decide to stay. They might even bring fresh, interesting viewpoints.

What I don't want is them coming en masse in a migration thinking they are doing us a favor. Coming here with the same mods and same behavior regarding censorship and control just doesn't work. Tbh, though, has they stayed here with LesPedes, the strong trolling they were receiving would have been over in a few days. They just came to a biker bar thinking they were coming to a tea party.

It's a flag tracked by reddit and exposed in JSON that I just show on the site.

From what I can tell they had someone go through popular subreddits and whitelist some as "brand safe"

I say this because /r/libertarianleft is not considered brand safe but /r/libertarian does not.

The "Not Safe For Advertisers" thing DerKatalog refers to is a separate tool I built into my app.

The pushshift stream that powers it is down so it doesn't work right now, but https://ceddit.com/nsfa used to be a live stream of every NSFW link posted to reddit.

I made that page when everyone was crying to reddit's advertisers about objectionable content.

Isn't that like what they did with a bunch of "adult" (read: not PG13) groups comunities they couldn't actually get rid of because they didn't go against the TOS, but they wouldn't be ad-friendly? I remember them doing something like that a couple years ago, and people were supposed to have to be logged in or have an email address connected to their account to access the place.
