Right? I know that's the thing there but I thought it would be interesting.

Isn't this a joke sub? Or am I missing something?

You think that because of all the crap you post there, the mods have a differnt view. It works both as a serious sub and a satirical one, as per the sidebar. This is no doubt the mods taking the piss out of Voat.

It's a shill sub. They mock people who complain about oppression because it is their literal job to oppress people.

I suddenly now don't want any reddit moderators to come to Voat.

I'm a mod on reddit. I'm not an asshole.

Reddit admins are part of the problem. At least some of them are direct shills, or at least under external control of forces that fucked up Reddit.

That's not fair. I was under the impression the problem with Reddit was a select few holding many subreddits. If that's the case, then the majority of Reddit mods are in fact fine, since it's only a few that are pulling all the strings. And even if it weren't, that's another website. Judge them on how they behave here, not elsewhere.

It was a total oligarchy. Hopefully the 10-limit will change that.

To be honest I didn't know who that was, never paid much attention to that sub. Good thing to know though, a couple others and now myself think it's a joke too.

Originally I removed this post because of concerns about 'witch hunting' but I was persuaded to remove it by a professional judge of character who I have encountered more then once. And that made me realise that I am too open minded and I entertained an asshole. Originally I mentioned the names of the moderators of these subs, twenty of them. Only one responded in that whole time while I juggled the conversation between multiple people who were in contact with each other on IRC, all to tell me I'm wrong. So I will put my post back up again, minus mentioning people by name:

Very very interesting. I wonder if the moderators of these subs would like to appear in this thread and address these "negotiations". To be clear the subs that have a "default Reddit moderator in control" are:

/v/oppression

/v/undelete

/v/trees

/v/bugs

/v/introduction

/v/atkoism

/v/clayton

/v/iama

/v/introductions

/v/opendiscussion

/v/promptoftheday

/v/shortstories

/v/writingprompt

Interesting to see there is a /v/introduction as an alternative to introductions.

Alright, I will give you an answer. First off this list is fake. I only mod one Reddit sub and it is not a default. I have responded to the accusations already. The only sub I am a mod on Reddit for was because I was brought in to bring Automoderator into the sub and to update the CSS. In the process the other mod deleted their account and I got stuck with the sub.

As far as the "safe spaces" goes here are my mod logs:

I am turning over /v/imgoingtohellforthis soon to another mod so it will be removed from this list shortly.

The guy who made this list has been anti-Voat from the beginning.

I am not in contact with any Reddit mods and if it was not for the one sub I was forced into moderating I would have left a long time ago.

I am not censoring anything and I do not plan to now or anytime in the future. In fact my history proves the opposite is true, that I am against censorship of anykind.

If anyone has an issue with the mods of any sub I moderate they can PM me and I will address the issue while giving the reporter complete anonymity.

Well thank you for taking the time to come here and speak. I simply asked all of you to clear this up and it has turned into a massive ordeal as far as the discussion goes. As I said originally, this wasn't a witch hunt and all I wanted was to hear your side of the story. I also don't believe that I said anything once about your 'censorship'. It was all questions from the very beginning.

If people have been hounding you then I apologise because that was not my intention. My reason for mentioning all of your user names was that I thought you would all be notified by it. But apparently if I edit my post that doesn't happen.

My bad, I really don't mean for a witch hunt. Just thought it was interesting. I agree though, someone earlier told me about the person who posted it.

Don't get so worked up. This is paranoid. Don't you think they have better things to do with their lives than spend all day on Voat? There are 24 hours in the day, at least give them that.

And you know, if it were me, I wouldn't want to bother anyway. This was already brought up and the appropriate time, when this first happened. I'm not sure what the point of digging it up now is, other than to start trouble. If they mod a subverse here and something on Reddit, it's their business. I don't see any evidence of collusion here, just them being identified as "safe" just because they're moderators on Reddit too. Don't get your knickers in a twist.

I found this discussion from earlier and I agree. https://voat.co/v/MeanwhileOnReddit/comments/141992/335988 nothing to worry about yet at least. I just saw it and thought it was interesting. Either way @lawofchaos, if you're not a lawyer/investigator I think you should be one!

Oh no, that's no good reason to let it go. The post implies that they are not only moderators on Reddit but DEFAULT moderators, whatever that means. If I'm just being paranoid then it should be very easy for at least one of these twenty people to respond.

24 hours is a long time for one of twenty active moderators to not know of this thread's existence. But I will give them that and more. What else can I do?

I don't understand what this means.

Is this post saying that /r/oppression thinks these verses are safe or unsafe? I'm confused. What the fuck is the point of trying to make a handful of "safe" verses? Anyone can come in and make it "unsafe" whenever they want.

I'm just going to assume this is a joke.

I think it's saying you'll get banned if you mention those subverses (because theyre safely in the hands of default reddit mods) and at the same time are wanting to have default mods from reddit take over what also happen to be popular subs here as well to prevent "censorship" ? I could be wrong though

Okay... I'm almost positive thats a joke then. Because that's beyond stupid.

Honestly I could go either way, i do see what you mean. The last thing we need are toxic minds running popular subs. I mean the whole being banned for advertising voat subs is oppression, but we are better than them and unfortunately freedom for us means freedom for them as well. Either way though those will for sure be the Subverses I choose to stay away from and not give anymore attention to than i already have. It was more of a PSA that i even put the screenshot up.
